Im linking up Farley over at Oh’Boy 4th Grade! Currently is such a blogger favorite that teachers adore! Head over and join in the fun!
Listening: My 5 year old is in all day Kindergarten! So far it has been a great smooth transition. But he has definitely started trying hard to everything but go to bed. He even offers to make his own lunch! LOL
Loving: I know we teachers fall in love with our students each year but in the words of The Black Eyed Peas ” I’ve got a feeling” about this group! I think we are going to have a lot fun!
Thinking: We got a new principal this year and we all loved our former principal. I am happy to say that so far so good! I am excited to see the changes and how the year goes!
Wanting: Only in Chicago can you bring in Labor Day in the 90’s! Although this is a pleasant change it is bad for a classroom. The heat makes it very hard for students to learn and even harder for a teacher to teach…
Needing: Well my good old cursive alphabet didn’t make it through this summer being packed away and is sadly missing letters J through M. : ( So this weekend Im off to the teacher store to look for more letters. Let’s hope that’s all I get!
3 Goals: I am very pleased with the set up of my classroom this year! I hope to maintain it and stay on time of things! I also committed to a more formal lesson planning system with PlanBook and really want to follow it. My goal is to have less wasted time in the classroom. So far so good. And finally I want to continue with clean eating. I was so impressed with how well it worked for me last year that I must keep it up!
Thanks for reading! Head over to Farley’s blog to see what others are up to!
Oh, you do need AC!
It is great to be able to take your child to all day kindergarten! Congrats on how helpful he is.
Oh No! I would pass out in my room (no windows). Can you bring in a cooler full of ice? I’m glad you are off to a great start!
